The City of Sonoma has partnered with Redwood Empire Food Bank to host a drive-through donation food drive at Sonoma City Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 3, as well as a virtual food drive to support neighbors in need. For every $1 donated to the virtual food drive, REFB will distribute $4 of healthy food. For the drive-through food drive, participants are asked to fill a bag with non-perishable food (no glass containers). Drive your donations to the front horseshoe of Sonoma City Hall in the Sonoma Plaza. Stay in your car, and drive through to drop off your donation. The most-needed items include tuna and canned meat, peanut butter, canned soups and stews, rice and dry beans, cereal, canned fruits and veggies and protein bars. Organizers ask that you refrain from participating in the drive-through donation if you or a member of your household have had a fever or have been ill within the last 72 hours.
