Danny Aschwanden, longtime agriculture teacher at Sonoma Valley High School, announced to the school’s Agriculture Advisory Board this week that he has accepted a full-time position as a welding instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Aschwanden taught welding and agricultural mechanics at the high school and has been a strong supporter of the Future Farmers of America program, often even transporting students’ animals from one place to another.
Most recently he helped the Board and others design the new school garden and farm, and served one year as School Garden Coordinator.
