Sonoma County Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase provides coronavirus video updates on the County of Sonoma’s Facebook page twice a week at 3:30 p.m. The update is followed by a Spanish translation at 4 p.m. The district will discuss school reentry among other topics.

Tuesday, Aug. 4

There is a special meeting of the Sonoma Valley Unified School District board of trustees at 5 p.m. via Zoom. More information is available at sonomaschools.org.

Wednesday, Aug. 5

At 6:30 p.m. there will be a Sonoma and Marin telephone town hall hosted by state Sen. Mike McGuire with the latest information from medical professionals who are on the front lines combating the pandemic. The Public Health Officers from Marin and Sonoma counties will be joining along with a U.C. infectious disease doctor. Dial 877-226-8216, enter code 1762144.

Thursday, Aug. 6

The Sonoma Valley Healthcare District Board of Directors will meet via Zoom at 6 p.m. To participate, enter the Meeting ID: 945 9563 0005. Password: 824702.

Wednesday, Aug. 12

The City of Sonoma Community Services & Environment Commission will meet remotely at 6 p.m. The meeting will be live streamed on the city's CivicWeb Portal (sonomacity.civicweb.net) and YouTube channel.

Monday, Aug. 17

The City Council will meet remotely at 6 p.m. More information is online at sonomacity.org.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

The Design Review & Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled to meet remotely at 6 p.m. More information is online at sonomacity.org.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

The County's Economic Recovery Committee will be hosting its first Town Hall at noon and 6 p.m. to gather feedback from the community. The Town Hall will be in English and Spanish on Zoom and the input collected will be used to help inform a long-term economic recovery strategy. To watch and participate in the Town Hall, register at SoCoLaunch.org. The Town Hall will also be streamed live to Facebook at facebook.com/SonomaEDB/.
