World-making stories at Readers’ Books in Sonoma

Filmmaker brings new book ‘Stories Make the World’ to Sonoma|

It’s not only love that makes the world go ‘round, as they say – it’s stories as well. And author and filmmaker Stephen Most will demonstrate that this week, when he brings his new book, “Stories Make the World,” to Readers’ Books on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.

“Stories Make the World” is about the art of storytelling and making films that reflect and explain the world. Sonoma Valley resident and renowned soundscape recorder Bernie Krause was the subject of one of Most’s films, “Nature’s Orchestra.”

“We’re pretty sure that you too will be captivated by the histories and the process that help us make sense of the world, and, you’ll want to hear Stephen Most explain his vision,” said Readers’ officials in a press release.

Readers’ Books is at 130 E. Napa St. Call 939-1779.
