Sonoma’s Friday farmers market carries on

Will adhere to similar vendor controls as grocery stores.|

The Friday morning farmers market is open today at the Arnold Field-Depot Park parking lot, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There are some controls for vendors and customers to abide by to keep everyone safe in purchasing from mostly local farmers. Here are the basics from Thale MacRostie on behalf of market manager Hilda Schwartz.

Every vendor will keep their distance from each other.

Each vendor will have at least two people working their table.

One gloved person will handle the money.

One gloved person will handle what the customer wants. If you want 10 carrots (salad mix, flowers, cauliflower, etc.) the vendor will bag it for you.

“So far farmers markets are in the same category as grocery stores. Hopefully, this will keep us all safe,” said MacRostie.
