Update: Presale tickets are sold out, but tickets can still be bought at the door.

The Sonoma Sister Cities Association invites the public for a day of camaraderie, fine wine, great barbecue and music to support Kaniv, Sonoma’s Ukrainian sister city on Thursday, May 11.

The barbecue will be prepared by Sonoma Valley Rotary Club, and there will be music by local groups ZigZag Band, Ukrainian Bard Taras Lumiere and Voices In My Head.

In 2022, the association was able to raise over $115,000 for humanitarian aid and protective gear for their regional defense, and it hopes to raise an equal amount this year. All donations will be sent to Kaniv to aid the city in its struggle for independence. The association transfers the funds directly to the Kaniv/Ukraine Friendship Society, an organization that works directly with the city.

The barbecue will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the historic Sonoma Valley Woman's Club, 574 First St. E. in Sonoma. Admission costs $75 and Include wine, dinner and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased online or by mailing a check to Sonoma Sister Cities Association/Kaniv Committee, P.O. Box 1975, Sonoma, CA.
