Erich Pearson to be honored at salmon dinner|

The Golden State Salmon Association’s annual fundraising dinner will honor biodynamic cannabis farmer Erich Pearson, operator of Sparc Farm at Gordenker Ranch in Glen Ellen. The event will take place 5 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Viansa Sonoma, 25200 Arnold Drive.

Pearson is a biodynamic cannabis farmer whose sustainable farming practices help keep the local watershed clean; he is also an avid salmon supporter.

Chef Ted Wilson of William Tell House in Tomales Bay will prepare the dinner, which will feature king salmon, Sonoma County wines, and opportunities to win auction items and support Golden State Salmon Association (GSSA) through other fundraising activities. GSSA works to restore California salmon for their economic, recreational and commercial benefit.

The original event date in November was sidelined by a gasoline tanker accident that spilled thousands of gallons of gas and shut down Highway 121 for several hours, forcing the rescheduling of the dinner.

Tickets range from $125 to $1,250 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.com. Original tickets to the postponed dinner will be accepted and there are still tickets available at Goldenstatesalmon.org. Those with tickets to the November event who cannot make it to the February event can call Cat Kaiser at 855-251-4472.
