No more Tadich petrale sole? Della Santina’s got you covered, Sonoma|

Many people who have spent time in San Francisco know that Tadich Grill, a.k.a. Tadich’s, had the best petrale sole d’ore in town. Tadich’s daily customers had their favorite tables for years, and some sat at the counter every day for lunch.

But the Buich family, which owns Tadich’s, has given up temporarily, but not forever. With all of its towering office building neighbors nearly empty of workers, there isn’t anyone walking in or expecting “my table” during this pandemic. Takeout didn’t work, nor did tiny sidewalk seating.

So the Buich family has closed to think out how to open smart when the time comes.

But never fear. Your petrale sole is right here in River City at Della Santina’s Trattoria. The portion of fish is large, light and fluffy. At first you think you will save some of it for tomorrow and then you eat it all, and it comes with potatoes and vegetables ($29.95). 124 E. Napa St., Sonoma. 938-4200.
