Delicious Dish planning to open coffee cart

Hot breakfasts, java and more slated for the menu.|

For its weekday takeout dinners, Delicious Dish now offers dinner for one, two or four.

Like several other local restaurants, Delicious Dish has cut back re-opening hours. Owner Lauren Cotner says the Delicious Dish patio is open for lunch Monday through Friday and closed for lunch on weekends. It is also open for special events, in addition to afternoon dinner pickups.

She and her husband Charles are hoping to open the coffee cart they took over in their parking lot to get it up to current regulations and are waiting for county approvals.

When the coffee cart does open watch for hot breakfasts to go, such as an egg-white omelet with white corn, asparagus and goat cheese on a Model Bakery English muffin, fresh pressed juices, grab-and-go specialty sandwiches, coffee drinks made with Equator coffee and dark chocolate mochas, lavender honey lattes, turmeric almond golden milk and oatmilk matcha lattes. Cotner is hopeful the cart will launch in late June or early July.

Check deliciousdishSF.com for its movie-with-dinner schedule, which will include Vincent Price’s “Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine” with a multi-course menu from Mary and Vincent Price’s cookbook. Another teaser: “Dirty Dancing” will come with a prime rib dinner.
