Corner 103, Mission Inn top ‘USA Today’ rankings

Valley destinations receive reader nods for favorite ’tasting room’ and ’wine country hotel.’|

Both Corner 103 and the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn have received top ratings by USA Today readers.

These rankings are often the result of fairly sophisticated online campaigns and Lloyd Davis of Corner 103 has hired some savvy social media people. And, of course, the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn already has that benefit.

Corner 103 was just named USA Today’s “Best Tasting Room in the USA.” Indeed, Davis has one of the loveliest storefronts, wines and personal manner. And he has been able to add a few tables in front of the tasting room at the corner of First Street West and West Napa Street for outdoor tasting during the pandemic.

A former owner of Viansa, Davis thanks his Corner 103 team of “Brent, Melissa, Sarah and Cat – who help ensure my vision of breaking down the walls of intimidation about wine and celebrating the finer things in life is exceeded the moment our guests walk through the door.”

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, currently Sonoma’s largest employer when fully open, just won the 2020 USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel award for Best Wine Country Hotel, and has previously been awarded “bests” in both restaurant and hotel rankings around the world.

"I can think of no better way to honor the resort than being recognized amongst America's Best Wine Country Hotels”, said Edward Roe, general manager at the Inn. “It's a testament to our world-class resort, unmatched amenities and to our hospitality professionals who are committed to elevating the Sonoma experience. It is truly special when our valued guests validate the quality and experience we are striving to achieve."

Currently you can get Fairmont food at their Cali Forno Airstream truck at the inn.
