Charlie’s Acres shares the bounty

Sonoma farm sanctuary offers garden produce to locals in need|

Charlie’s Acres farm animal sanctuary has planted a thriving garden, and founder Tracy Vogt is offering the extra produce to families in need in the Sonoma Valley. Last week, five families involved with the Sonoma Mentoring Alliance came to pick produce, and they plan to return regularly.

“I thought it could be a nice service to give back to the community and to encourage the connection between harvesting our food and what we are actually eating,” said Vogt..

“We really want to get our extra produce into the hands of people who were affected negatively from COVID and the economic crisis, or people who just in general need help.”

Vogt can be reached at info@charliesacres.org.
