The fun fall lineup at Sonoma’s Sebastiani Theatre
The little theater that could is back with a vengeance. August Sebastiani’s crowning civic glory, historic Sebastiani Theatre on Sonoma Plaza, will be hosting a wide variety of events to entice local film music land theater lovers.
Coming up in chronological order, there’s a Cat Video Fest, the movie “How to Train Your Dragon,” a Vivaldi’s Four Seasons Candlelight Concert, the Renegade Orchestra, a Pink Floyd tribute band called Pete Floyd, Grammy nominee David Arkenstone, the 2023 Sonoma Valley Music Festival, a Candlelight Concert featuring Halloween classics and a Candlelight Concert featuring the music of Taylor Swift.
And down the road, “The Addams Family, a new musical comedy” will have live theater aficionados thrilled. And that barely gets you into November!
Sonoma Valley Music Festival, sponsored by Music in Place, is a new event to be held at several venues around town. The big, three-night headline run will be at the Sebastiani. The first night, and Friday, Oct. 13, will feature Pamela Rose, with her “Blues is a Woman” show. The Saturday, Oct. 14 event will have Livingston Taylor delighting the audience. And at the Sunday, Oct. 15 matinee, Pacific Mambo Orchestra will shake the plaster off the walls.
The Taylor Swift show will not match the real Swift’s current “Eras Tour,” but is sure to delight all her fans. The show is a guaranteed sell out.
It is certain that the Sebastiani family patriarch, up in the big vineyards in the sky, is smiling because of this flurry of activity. Visit sebastianitheatre.com for all the details.
