Sonoma’s Tailwags & Handbags fashion show returns

Accessory fashions star in runway show to benefit Pets Lifeline.|

Tailwags & Handbags is going virtual and includes a Fashion Show on Friday, April 30. Tickets are available now for a luncheon from the Girl and the Fig delivered to your home or picked up in town on April 30.

The Tailwags & Handbags annual auction of gently used and new purses, murses (man purses), scarves, jewelry and other assorted items will go online April 26. There is no cost to register to bid on the items. The auction in 2021 also includes clothing featured in the fashion show provided by local boutiques and shops.

The fashion show is being pre-recorded in various locations around the Valley featuring donations by Angelique, Bear Moon Clothing Company, Bossa Nova, Community Supply, Goode Rider, Half Pint, Helen Lyall Clothing for Women, Mable & Mae, Perle, Scott Lyall, Sonoma Old School Skate Shop, the Loop at Cornerstone, Wildeflower and WOOF Sonoma.

“This Fashion Show will be great fun,” said Nancy King, executive director of Pets Lifeline, in an announcement of the event. “We are so very grateful to our local clothiers for their generous donations, especially since they’ve been hit the hardest during the pandemic.

“Plus, we have amazing models, from within the community, who have donated their time and talent. I don’t want to give anything away, but I can assure you there will be lots of tailwagging and even some hat tossing.”

The virtual event begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 30. Broadcasting live from the new Pet’s Lifeline facility on Eighth Street East, King will be the emcee and will provide a virtual tour of the new Animal Resource Center.
