The Sonoma Writers Workshop is gearing up for its fifth annual “Things that Go Bump in the Night” event.

This year’s evening of poetry, music and revelry will again reanimate Bump Wine Cellars, at 521 Broadway, just off the Sonoma Plaza on Thursday, Oct. 25. Spirits and sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m.

Readings begin at 7 p.m., when Sonoma County writers, including Daedalus Howell, AJ Petersen, Jonah Raskin, Lisa Summers, Steve Meloan and Stacey Tuel, promise to “shout back at primal fear in words and deed.”

Brief tastings of wine paired with featured literary tricks and treats will be sampled over three ‘courses,’ the third set of which will be an open mic for locals who, according to event organizers, ‘will tear off the mask of everyday ho-hum and reveal their inner demon.”
