Learn to cultivate a ‘post-growth culture’

The next Praxis talk features Crystal Arnold.|

What does a post-growth lifestyle and culture look like? What needs to change and how can we be part of these needed changes? Those are just two of the questions to be addressed when Crystal Arnold presents “Cultivating a Post Growth Culture” Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. as part of the nonprofit Praxis Peace Institute’s next live Zoom discussion.

“The personal becomes political in the way we live on the planet and interact with others,” begins a description of the talk from event organizers. The program will be an interview and an interactive discussion with the guest speaker, Crystal Arnold, the director of education at the Post Growth Institute in Ashland, Oregon. Arnold has a degree in international economics and hosts the podcast "Money Wise Women." She facilitates community-based trading and is a proponent of cooperatives, democratic leadership and inclusive practices that heal financial and racial trauma, according to the nonprofit.

The presentation is the second in a series of three “practical, how-to programs” hosted by Praxis.

All events are presented on Zoom and a link is sent upon registration. A Q&A session follows.

Registration is $20 general; 15 members). For information, visit praxispeace.org/events.
