Winery tasting room closes in downtown Sonoma

Victor Hill Wines closes Plaza tasting room; Caddis to move in.|

The Victor Hill Wines tasting room at 109 E. Napa St., next to Maya Restaurant, has closed. A sign in the window indicates that Caddis Wine of Livermore, run by owner/winemaker Christopher Sorenson, will be moving in to the space.

This will be the second Caddis tasting room location.

“With a second location in Sonoma we are able to keep growing our brand and it will provide us with a space that can be open on a daily basis,” the winery announced in its most recent wine club newsletter.

The team expects to open its new Sonoma tasting room in February.

Victor Hill Wines, a joint venture of Vic McWilliams and Tom Hill, is still selling its wine online at victorhillwines.com, but the winery will close in the next few months, according to a spokesperson for the company.

The Victor Hill Wines tasting room in downtown Sonoma opened in October 2014.
