Broadway Market sale delayed

It’s the last local family-owned market in the Valley.|

Ron Rogers reports that his sale of Broadway Market will not close in June after all.

Since he and his cousin and business partner, Diane Gaudino, have owned the popular store for 48 years, the county demanded that he upgrade some items to current code before the sale can go through.

This means that they have had to hire architects to draw plans for the improvement. After the plans are submitted the county Health Department will have 30 days to approve them. After that, specialists will have to actually make the changes and have them pass inspections before Rogers and Gaudino can transfer ownership.

Broadway Market is Sonoma’s last local family-owned grocery store. God and Goddess knows how many people depend on their quality meats, sandwiches, cooked hot foods from chili to ribs, and produce, to say nothing of beer and local wines.

Broadway Market is located at 20511 Broadway, corner of Leveroni.
