Woman’s Club hosts games day

Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club is holding its annual Games Day Fundraiser, starting at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, at its historic clubhouse, 574 First St. E.

Join in for a day of fun playing a favorite card game, mahjong, dominos or any other board game and order a box lunch consisting of your choice between a turkey or veggie wrap with potato salad, fruit, cookies and a beverage for $18.

Call or email Mandy Weil at babamandy@sbcglobal.net or 486-6284 to choose a wrap choice and to reserve a table for your group.

Reservation deadline is Friday, March 21.

The SVWC raises money to help the youth of the Valley through scholarships and books for local elementary school libraries.

The club also donates to various local charities.

On Sept. 21, 1901, 11 forward-thinking women founded the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club with the mission of improving the Plaza and the community of Sonoma.

Membership is open to the women of the Sonoma Valley. Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month, September through June.
