WillMar Center seeks volunteer drivers

WillMar Family Grief & Healing Center, a nonprofit dedicated to helping young people and their families work through grief, is seeking volunteer drivers to provide transportation for a child or teenager on a weekly or bi-monthly basis.

Located near the Plaza in downtown Sonoma, WillMar Center provides a safe, healing environment and compassionate support for children, teens and their families grieving a death, or living with a family member who has a life-changing illness or injury.

The volunteer drivers provide much-needed transportation to and from the Center for kids who other wise would not be able to receive these free services.

To participate, drivers must be 25 or older, with a valid California driver’s license and their own vehicle.

Drivers also must have personal bodily-injury auto insurance coverage at $250,000 per person, $500,000 per accident and $100,000 in property damage.

WillMar Center extends services to caregivers, schools and businesses in the Sonoma Valley and beyond.
