White Perry exhibit opens Oct. 3

Artist Barbara White Perry will have her annual exhibit of new works at Charles Creek Tasting Room and Gallery, 483 First St. W., Sonoma.

A reception will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. Charles Creek wines, small bites and the Cookie King’s finest will be served.

White Perry’s oil paintings are known for their light and color, a reflection of her 28 years in Sonoma Valley. She is inspired by the vistas of the Valley and quiet beauty of flowers. She believes that you can walk by the same location many times, then, a slight change of nature’s light can illuminate the beauty of something never noticed before. She captures these moments.

The exhibit also includes a selection of her ink drawings that are part of a series she began 15 years ago titled “Drawing Sonoma,” the Valley’s most intriguing historic properties and vistas.

The entire collection will be displayed by the city of Santa Rosa this winter.

The exhibit runs through Nov. 30. For details, see barbarawhiteperry.com.
