What’s open, closed over Thanksgiving weekend

Thursday, Nov. 26, is Thanksgiving and all government agencies will be closed. Additionally some will also be closed on Friday, Nov. 27.

Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

The City of Sonoma offices are closed both Thursday and Friday. The offices of the Valley of the Moon Water District are closed Thursday and Friday.

The Sonoma valley Regional Library is closed both Thursday and Friday, but will be open regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 28.

There will be no bus service by Sonoma County Transit on Thursday. On Friday, the buses will run on a Saturday schedule.

There will be no trash pickup by either the Sonoma Garbage Collector in the city, or Redwood Empire Disposal in the county on Thursday. Thursday’s pickups will be pushed back to Friday while Friday’s pickups will be pushed back to Saturday.

Banks will be closed on Thursday.

The offices of the Index-Tribune will be closed both Thursday and Friday.
