What’s open, closed on Martin Luther King Jr. holiday

Monday, Jan. 20, is the day Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday is celebrated, and since it’s a national holiday, most government offices will be closed.

Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa will be closed as will offices at the City of Sonoma.

The Valley of the Moon Water District office will be closed Monday.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 18, as the library is already closed on Mondays.

Schools in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District are closed.

Sonoma County Transit will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday.

There will be no mail delivery and banks will be closed.

There will be no interruption of waste pickup services this week in either the city or the Valley.

The offices of the Index-Tribune will be open.
