What’s open, closed Labor Day

Monday, Sept. 1, is Labor Day, and almost all government offices will be closed.

The Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa are closed as are the City of Sonoma offices.

The Valley of the Moon Water district office is closed Monday.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library, since it is already closed on Mondays, will also be closed on Saturday.

Sonoma County Transit will not be running any buses at all on Monday.

Refuse pickup for customers of either the Sonoma Garbage Collector in the city, or Redwood Empire Disposal in the county, will have their pickup days pushed back by a day all week. That means Monday pickup will be on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, and so on.

Schools and banks will be closed Monday. There will be no mail delivery on Monday.

The offices of the Sonoma Index-Tribune will be closed Monday.
