Warriors working toward wonderful

It’s a long NBA season, and while it’s only one month old, the Golden State Warriors have already compiled 10 wins. If they average eight more wins a month, they will have reached that all important 50-win mark, which most of the time means postseason and a possible playoff run to a title.

Achieving eight wins in a month is a challenging task because the NBA teams are comprised of the best in the world. It doesn’t matter where a certain team sits in the standings, a maximum effort is needed in every game to attain success, which the current decade’s Warriors are all about – playing all out.

With their talent, depth, heart, coaching and knowledgable and enthusiastic ownership, the Warriors are working toward wonderful, and if they manage to average 10 wins a month, they’ll join the NBA’s elite-team club. Actually, they’re already close to joining.

The Warriors are a team that continues to hone the aggressive, exciting, defensive-minded, offensively productive play of their predominately youthful unit of unselfish, smart and talented players.

After last season’s regular season finish and postseason playoff run, I said in my optimistic approach that the squad reminded me of the 1975 champion Warriors in many ways and that there could be a magical link, and I stand by my statement even more this year, especially now having all-stars Andre Iguodala and Jermaine O’Neil on board.

Mixing them with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee, Andrew Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green and currently injured Festus Ezeli playing under coach Mark Jackson has been a wonderful ride that heading into a bright future.

Am I talking NBA championship? Maybe not this season – though why not. But it’s coming soon.

One thing is for sure, the Warriors buzz in not just in the Bay Area but throughout the NBA, with Golden State considered not only one of the best teams in the league, but one of the three most exciting, fun-to-watch teams.

With ownership securely implanting a professional and high-level state-of-the-art culture of success to operate both off and on the court, where the above Golden State players, their teammates and their coaches employ an entertaining, and an inevitable title-winning brand of basketball.
