Violently ill over tainted victory?

Letter to the Editor

By

Editor, Index-Tribune:

I trust I’m not the only local citizen to fall violently ill watching the opponents of Measure B revel in their tainted victory last week. Make no mistake about it, this was one of the most deceitful and disingenuous campaigns in recent history, with big money and private interests trumping loyalty and common sense yet again. Do you really believe that limiting the size of downtown hotels will increase traffic around the Plaza?

So now the ultimate responsibility for preserving our beloved and historic Plaza rests squarely on the shoulders of our board of supervisors. In perpetuity. Yes, it’s time to dig out those totems, rosaries, and mala beads and pray for divine intervention.
