Used book sale starts Wednesday at library

The Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library will host its quarterly used book sale May 14-17.

There, patrons will find a wide selection of books for their upcoming summer reading. Fiction and nonfiction books, records, DVDs, VHS and audiobooks. Nothing is priced at more than $2, and all students in grades K-12 receive one free selection.

The books on sale are not used library books, they are books that are donated to the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library by the community. The group does not sell any books from previous sales. Each book sale contains books donated since the last sale.

Teachers and educators can contact Dave Dobbins at 966-3072 to get free books at the end of the book sale on Saturday afternoon.

Also, patrons can bring their filled out purchase receipt from the sale to Crisp Bakery, across the street from the library, and a portion of their coffee/pastry purchase will go the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library.

The sale starts Wednesday, May 14, with a members-only preview from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (memberships are available throughout the sale).
