The Transcendence Theater Company has saved the best for last … the season closes with two special nights of the “Gala Celebration” concert Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 6.

The show will revisit highlights from the successful summer season as well as offering audiences a few extra special surprises.

“We are so grateful to everyone who has made our 2014 season so phenomenal, joyous, and special. Our Gala Celebration will uplift our audiences as we celebrate the energy of Transcendence that will inspire us all to continue living life to the fullest,” said Artistic Director Amy Miller.

The “Gala Celebration” will include performers who have been seen on Broadway, television and in the circus ring in shows such as “Ellen,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Gypsy,” “Wicked,” “Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus,” “Les Miserables” and more.

“Join us for one for one more magical night of music under the stars in Jack London State Park as we give thanks to our incredible community that makes Transcendence a reality and as we toast the bright future that lies ahead for all of us,” said Stephan Stubbins, co-executive director.

The concert will be held in the winery ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

Both evenings begin with a pre-show picnic at 5 p.m., with food and wine for sale from local Sonoma vendors on site, with a 7:30 p.m. show time.

Tickets range from $42 to $125.

Transcendence Theatre was named Broadway World San Francisco’s 2013 “Theatre of the Year.” Over the last two seasons the company has given more than $92,000 to Jack London State Historic Park, while winning the Broadway World San Francisco award for Best Special Theater Event in both of its first two seasons.
