SVTA tennis events, VOM petanque hosting French champ

SONOMA VALLEY TENNIS Association is holding a free “membership awareness event” open to all players from 3 to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 19, on the newly resurfaced Maxwell Farms Regional Park courts and will include tennis play, a barbecue and a raffle. VALLEY OF THE Moon Petanque Club is hosting a visit by nine-time French national petanque champion Marco Foyot this Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Henri Maysonnave Memorial Courts in Sonoma’s Depot Park. Foyot will give a public demonstration of the sport and compete with players from Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
