SONOMA’S ST. FRANCIS Solano’s CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) basketball program for third- through eighth-grade boys’ and girls’ teams is currently holding 2013-14 season online registration for all returning and new players through Sept. 15, at tawala.com/p/i8mp1l6cj789w3z/fadmhtj.Registration. Mandatory evaluation and tryout days for registered players are Sundays, Sept. 22 and 29 (one day required) in Sonoma Valley High School’s Pfeiffer Gym. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS of Sonoma Valley will hold two basketball sign-up sessions for boys and girls in third-through-eighth grades from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on consecutive Saturdays, Sept. 14 and 21, at the BGCSV Clubhouse in Maxwell Farms Regional Park, 100 Verano Ave. Cost is $60 for club members and $180 for non-members, which includes one-year of club membership – $10 late fee for late registration. The four leagues – third-through-fifth and sixth-through-eighth grades for both girls and boys – run from November through January 2014. SONOMA VALLEY TENNIS Association’s next Friday Night Round Robin mixed doubles event honoring the United States Open will be held at 6 p.m. on the Maxwell Park courts tonight. The SVTA’s junior tennis program for boys and girls ages 4 to 11 will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through Nov. 2, at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park courts, where its free adult clinics for beginners and returning players will be held on Saturdays, Sept. 21 and Oct. 19. VINTAGE FESTIVAL 12K and 5K runs, the annual fundraiser for Sonoma Valley High School’s cross-country and track and field programs presented by Destination Races and the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival, will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.
