The St. Francis Solano CYO fifth-grade girls’ basketball team recently posted a 10-2 record and, after rallying from behind to win its playoff opener, claimed the CYO Division-2 basketball championship by routing St. Peters (Cloverdale) 22-2 in the final.
Comprising the CYO Division-2 hoops champion St. Francis fifth-grade girls – directed by head coach Rob Lucchetti and assistant coaches Brian Hanson and Regan Andel – were Emilee Atkinson, Liberty Gilliland, Megan Hanson, Sophie Lucchetti, Tatyana Morrow, Sophia Riebli, Emma Routhier and Jenna Walker.
