Springs Town Hall meeting set Oct. 10

The Springs Community Alliance is hosting a community conversation at the semi-annual Springs Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Sonoma Valley Grange Hall, 18627 Sonoma Highway.

The meeting will consist of several breakout sessions, each of which will focus on issues that were identified at the April Town Hall meeting and designed to better connect the Springs residents to their community.

The topics have been organized into six categories including Safety, Business, Community Identity, Beautification, Youth and Families, Health and Wellness. The sessions will be facilitated by members of the SCA leadership team.

Specific examples of concerns that will be addressed include parking along Highway 12, gang activity, community gardens, drug abuse, a historical walk and trees along Highway 12.

First District Supervisor Susan Gorin will also be on hand to provide a brief update on Highway 12 as well as to answer questions.

Light refreshments will be provided by the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Starbucks.

The Grange is located at 18627 Sonoma Highway, just south of the Fiesta Shopping Center and across from Mary’s Pizza Shack.
