Sonoma Jr. Dragons end football playoff drought

Face San Marin Sunday in Ukiah|

The 2018 Sonoma Jr. Dragons Pee Wee Football team is headed to playoffs for the first time in 15 years.

The team is coached by Coach Troy McDonald along with his two sons Jake and Justin McDonald, Brian Cooper and Joe Lunny. The Jr. Dragons received a sixth seed will face the third-seed San Marin Mustangs at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in Ukiah. This is the first time in about 15 years that the Jr. Pee Wee team from Sonoma has placed.

The age range is 8-, 9-, 10- and 11-year-olds. The team consists of Ben Methner, Kevin Martin, Koko Breeland, Damien Martinez, Jack Alley, Hudson Giarritta, Chuy Ordaz, Josh Plexico, Andrew Maiava, Conner Cooper, Spencer Owen, Brendan Wroblewski, Benicio Reyes, Angel Vargas, Luis Botello Lopez, Christopher Rodrigues, Jake Collins, Angel Anaya and Nick Exner.
