The Sonoma Valley High baseball Dragons missed out on the Sonoma County League tournament being held this week at Arnold Field.

The Dragons finished the year 11-12 overall and 6-6 in SCL play, which put them in fifth place.

Petaluma is the top seed in the SCL tournament as the Trojans finished 16-8 overall and 10-2 in SCL play. Petaluma will play fourth-seed El Molino (13-8, 7-5) in Tuesday’s game while second-seed Piner (13-10-1, 9-3) will face third-seed Analy (16-8, 8-4) on Wednesday.

The championship game will be played Thursday. All games will start at 7 p.m.

While the Dragons won’t be participating in the SCL tournament, Coach Ian Slaney will be making a bid for a North Coast Section tournament berth the following week. NCS bids come out on Sunday.
