Tennis boys beat El Molino again

The Sonoma Valley High tennis Dragons beat El Molino Thursday, for the second time in two days, by the same 5-2 score.

The Dragons swept the four singles matches, again, with Carlos Rubio, playing in the one spot, shut out El Mo’s Jahmye Daly, 6-0 and 6-0; at two, Trevor Griggs-Demmin beat El Mo’s Williams Degroot, 6-2 and 6-0; at three, Sam Weisiger needed three sets to beat El Mo’s Jolly Greer, 6-1, 1-6 and 6-4; and at four, Andrew McKale shut out El Mo’s Luca Pinetti, 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles, El Mo’s Spencer Honne and Patrick Palmer topped Max Gustafson and Silvan Kopp, 6-0 and 6-2; at two, Reed Hewitt and Henry Darnell beat El Mo’s Ryan Palmer and Quaid Capurso, 6-4 and 6-2; while at three, El Mo’s Adolpho Memorial and Avery Cavello topped Julian Hewitt and Dominik Garcia, 6-1, 4-6 and 6-2.

Thursday and Friday, the Dragons will be in the SCL tournament.
