The Lady Dragon softballers Thursday moved into second place in the Sonoma County League after beating Analy, 9-4.
Sonoma is a half-game ahead of third-place Analy and a half-game behind first-place Petaluma.
Thursday, Sonoma pounded out 10 hits including two each from Ally Alcayaga, Kayla Beals and Kaliyah Hensic. One of Hensic’s hits was a home run. Annie Neles, Abby Alcayaga, Jaya Garcia and Kennedy Midgley each collected a hit.
Midgley started and pitched a complete game, scattering four hits, walking four and striking out five.
Saturday, the Lady Dragons dispatched Ukiah, 7-0 in a non-conference matchup.
Orr, Abby Alcayaga and Ally Alcayaga each had two hits including a home run by Ally Alcayaga. Midgley, Garcia and Lee each had one hit, and Lee’s was a double.
Orr started and pitched a complete-game shutout, scattering five hits, walking one and striking out two.
Sonoma is on the road today at Petaluma and then hosts Piner at 4 p.m. Thursday.
