Dragon swimmers beat St. Helena

Final Sonoma County League meet April 27, 28|

The Sonoma Valley High swimming Dragons continued their winning ways Tuesday beating St. Helena.

Both the boys and girls teams won. The girls won 105-65 while the boys won 110-52.

The boys 200 Medley relay team of Ethan Smith, Jason Pine, Dominic Tommasi and Dominic Fiorito won in a time of 1:49.28, which is a North Coast Section consideration time, while the 200 free relay team of Smith, Pine, Tommasi and Fiorito win in 1:37.37, which is also an NCS consideration time. Smith was a double winner taking the 100 fly (1:02.59) and the 100 back (1:07.63). Fiorito was also a double winner in the 200 IM (2:22.69) and the 100 breast (1:14.94).

The girls 200 Medley relay team of Abby Parr, Charlotte Hunter, Maya Grajczk and Hannah Ladouceur won in 2:02.66, which was an NCS consideration time. The 200 free relay team of Parr, Sofia Portello, Charlotte Hunter and Hanna Wales won in 1:52.01. Double winners were Parr in the 100 free (1:01.59) and the 100 back (1:11.34); and Hunter in the 200 IM (2:21.34) and the 500 free (5:46.05).

The swimmers has their last scheduled meet of the year Thursday against Petaluma, results not available at press time.

The Dragons will be competing in the Sonoma county League meet on Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28, at the SRJC pool in Santa Rosa. The preliminaries are Friday and the finals are on Saturday. Both teams are defending champions.
