The Lady Dragon softballers used an eight-run second inning to whip Elsie Allen, 18-0, Thursday.

Sonoma scored three times in the first, eight times in the second, once in the third, four times in the fourth and two more in the fifth.

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

The Dragons pounded out 15 hits including three each by Lyndsey Lee, Raquel Hernandez and Jaya Garcia; two each by Abby Alcayaga and Kaitlyn Dunevent and one each from Jaymee Pearce and Kayla Beals.

Jordyn Chiotti and Alissa Orr split the pitching duties and gave up only one hit.

Sonoma was supposed to face Analy Monday in an oft-postponed game … and it was raining again Monday. Sonoma hosts El Molino at 4 p.m. today.

Sonoma then travels to Analy for a Thursday afternoon game.

They also have a non-conference game at Ukiah on Saturday.
