The Sonoma Valley High softball team will play its first post-season game today, Friday May 26, at the high school. Their opponent will be Kennedy High of Fremont, who won their game on Wednesday against Acalanes by a 6-0 score.

The official season's stats are out, and the Dragon girls have a total of six All-League players with notable numbers, including two freshman players. Infielder Kaliyah Hensic came in with a batting average of .464 and two homers. Another freshman, Ally Alcayaga, led the team with a .586 batting average and 14 RBIs. Both were named to the first team.

Outfielder Lyndsey Lee's average of .568 was next highest, and the junior threw out any and everyone who tried to take an extra base on her.

Seniors Bella Fanucchi and Maddy Lentini ended their high school softball careers with strong numbers. Junior Jenna Ebert posted a strong 1.56 ERA as a pitcher and struck out 20 over seven appearances on the mound.

Ebert, Lee and Lentini were named to the second team, and Fanucchi was given honorable mention.

The team ended the season with an overall record of 19-5, and a Sonoma County League record of 9-3. Their league standing gave them a bye as the playoffs began.

Friday night's game begins at 5 p.m. If the Lady Dragons win, their next Division 3 game will be on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week against the winner of the Drake-Pinole Valley game to be held this weekend.
