CYO ?basketball teams reach playoffs

10 Sonoma Valley teams in competition|

This season, more than 240 kids in grades three-to-eight, representing Sonoma and St. Francis Solano Parish, played CYO basketball throughout Northern California.

Nickolai Mathison, St. Francis CYO director said 10 teams made the tough playoffs, and three teams are vying for championships in different divisions in the eighth grade (Coach Tony Valentine) and fifth grade (Coach Charlie DeTorres and Coach Tom Coughlin) Two more third-grade teams are playing in the competitive Tomales post season tournament (Coaches Conn Dunning and Vince Anibale).

The fifth-grade girls coached by Joe Geist include Lauren Cox, Pia Della Santina, Addison Geist, Anna Hanson, Kate Llodrá, Mia Lucchetti, Kassedy Midgley, Annabelle Nichelini, Presley Sorensen, and Ella Thibert.

The sixth-grade girls coached by Chris Sanders include Carlie Fiorito, Makayla Garrett, Kerry James, Jaeda Jensen, Lily Jones, Kathryn Juhasz, Astrid Lopez, Giselle Perez, Sophie Rulmont, Kaden Sanders and Francesca Zanin.

The eighth-grade girls coached by Rob Lucchetti including Liberty Gilliland, Sophie Lucchetti, Sophia Riebli, Emma Routhier, Jovana Saldana, Jenna Walker, Chelsey Crespo, Madison Jones and Jordan Boccaleoni.

The fourth-grade boys coached by Jordan Ruiz including Adolfo Veronese, Nicholas Cope, Chase Bromstad, Van Clark, Felix Rebolledo, Damian Padilla, Charles Morgan, Jack McMahon, Jake Hilton and Jordan Ruiz.

The fifth-grade boys coached by Charlie DeTorres including Andre Armstrong, Andrew Bonfigli, William Borden, Anthony DeTorres, Everett Johnson, Matthew Jordan, Grant Kiser, Trent Ohman, Nicolas Scevola and Benedetto Sebastiani.

The fifth-grade boys coached by Tom Coughlan includes Jesus Alvarez, Cooper Anast, Jackson Coughlan, Charlie Giller, Matthew Hoffman, Emiliano Iniguez, Jacob Kane, Jett Lee, Hank Portello, Jack Quilici, August Rossi and Logan Smith.

The seventh-grade boys coached by Marco Girish includes Rollo Benstead, Luc DeMartini, Adam Duffield, Dominic Girish, Anders Mathison, Gavin Rognlien, Robby Sangiacomo, Bennett Steiger, Tate Baker and Finn Parker.

The seventh-grade boys coached by Johnny Armitage includes Brett Armitage, Jack Borden, Madden Edwards, Joey Fiorito,k Gianni Natuzzi, Erik Cab, Lucca Sebastiani, Joaquin Reyes, Caden Parlett and Giancarlo Guerrero.

The eighth-grade boys coached by Elias Cassola includes Ross Neles, Jasper Ray, A.J. Riebli, Satchel Sevenau, Nicholas Zeiter, Nathan Zheng, Anthony Carranza, Elias Casolla, Lucas Martindale and Francisco Morales.

The eighth-grade boys coached by Tony Valentine includes Lawson Lee, Octavio Martinez, Antonio Valentine, Jack Turner, Colin Dewees, James Bounds, Alexander Cox, Giovanni Zanin, Adan Juarez and Christian Hernandez.
