The Sonoma Valley High baseball Dragons took an early lead in their opener Saturday, but gave up four runs in the third inning and lost 5-2, to San Marin.
The Dragons didn’t waste any time, as they pushed a run across in the first inning without the benefit of a hit. But San Marin scored four runs in the top of the third to take a 4-1 lead. Sonoma scored once in the bottom of the third, but San Marin added another run in the seventh.
The loss gives the Dragons an 0-1 record. Sonoma has four straight home games starting today, Feb. 28, when Justin Siena visits. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
