Cox was the highest placing Dragon finishing 11th, despite straining his quadriceps muscle in the middle of the race. He ran the 5K race in 18 minutes 17 seconds. Senior Leo Macedonio was 14th (18:24.79); senior Brandon Barmore was 24th (19:05); freshman Kahlil Villias was 33rd (19:34); junior Jeremy Mackling was 40th (20:15.26); junior Liam Sheldon was 43rd (20:33) and senior Campbell Martin was 54th (22:12).

Coach John Litzenberg competed in the 5K “Community Race,” which was run just before the boys race that included 58 runners, and won the race in a time of 18:08.

The cross country teams will host a triangular meet with Petaluma and Elsie Allen at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Maxwell Regional Park. The meet was originally scheduled to be run in Petaluma, but a conflict made the move necessary.
