Fall sports open this week

The Sonoma Valley High Dragons will open their soccer, tennis, volleyball and football seasons this week. The girls soccer team opens at Santa Rosa High today with the JV at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 7. The girls open their home season Thursday when they entertain powerhouse Maria Carillo with the varsity start at 4:30 p.m. and the JV at 6:30. The tennis girls are at Casa on Thursday. The JV football team is at Tamalpais Friday, while the varsity gridders open their season at Tamalpais on Saturday (game times to be announced). And the volleyball team opens their season Saturday at home against Vintage, frosh at 9:30 a.m., JV at 10:30 and varsity at 11:30.
