Babe Ruth 14s hosting tourney

First game set for 5 p.m. Friday|

Sonoma is hosting the Babe Ruth 14-year-old All Star Tournament this weekend.

The 14s play their first game in the double-elimination tourney at 5 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Peterson Field. Winners of the tournament advance to sectionals, then state, then regionals and ultimately can make it to the Babe Ruth World Series.

The 14-year-old all-stars include Justin Alire, Brady Armitage, Jack Boydell, Ricardo Cab, Jason Chiotti, Nolan Dunkle, Dom Fiorito, Ricky Mendoza, Will Natuzzi, Claude Pepe, Riley Phelan, Tucker Pierce, Tanner Rozem and Trevor Velarde. Curt Dunkle is the manager and the coaches are Johnny Armitage, Luke Dunkle and Jim Hess.

The 15-year-olds will be heading to Ukiah for their tournament this weekend. They include Austin Arrington, Dominic Chiotti, Anthony Costanzo, Carsten Cuda, Quentin Cuellar, Sam Fannucchi, Trent Garrett, Tyler Garrett, Max Handron, Brendan Hogan, Jeremy Mackling, Logan Mak, Matt Norrbom, Denton Shields and Matt White. Manny Alcantar is manager and Benny Soto is coach.

The 13-year-olds will have their tournament in Novato this weekend. They include Jake Baker, Adrian Buckley, Joe Costanzo, Colin Dewees, Ryan Hengehold, Giovanni Hernandez, Clayton Kiser, Lucas Martindale, Octavio Martinez, Mason Matulaitis, Ross Neles, Dusty Pierce, Jamie Pierce, Hank Schoeningh and Satchell Sevenau. John Casey is manager, Kenny Amoroso and Steve Chiotti coach.
