Sonoma girls in SCL title hunt

There are just three hurdles remaining in the defending champion Sonoma Valley High School varsity basketball girls’ quest to claim their second straight Sonoma County League crown, with the three final SCL games being played this week.

Riding a seven-game league winning streak, and eight straight wins overall, the SCL first-place Lady Dragons hit the road for battles at longtime rivals Petaluma tonight and Healdsburg tomorrow evening, Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The Sonoma girls then host Piner in both their 7:30 p.m. home and league finale Friday, Feb. 12, in Pfeiffer Gym, and will honor their eight seniors –Bella Bollman, Jenny Eggers, Annie Greenslade, Heidi Landeros, Renee O’Donnell, Rocky Darnell, Emma Stanfield and Sami Von Gober, and their parents – before tipoff.
