Hoping to end their challenging Marin County Athletic League season on a winning note in their home pool, the Sonoma Valley High School water polo teams will host Justin-Siena today at the Sonoma Aquatic Club, with the varsity girls match starting at 5 p.m., followed by the boys clash at 6 p.m.

Last Thursday, Sonoma’s boys and girls’ team hosted MCAL foe Marin Academy at the Sonoma Aquatic Club and ended up dropping both decisions, with the Dragon boys falling 18-9 despite hat-tricks by both senior Joey Dukes and junior Owen Summers, and the girls being sunk 12-3.

Pacing the Dragon boys were Dukes and Summers’ three goals apiece, and one goal each by senior Max Shepard, junior Jackson Mighell and sophomore Dominic Tommasi.

The Lady Dragons were paced by sophomore Grace Turner’s two goals and sophomore Abby Parr’s one score.
