The Sonoma Valley High School tennis girls got back on the winning track after being swept in singles twice and dropping back-to-back 4-3 Sonoma County League decisions to longtime rivals Petaluma and Analy by doing some sweeping of their own.
Claiming the four singles and three doubles matches, the Sonoma netters delivered a 7-0 blanking of visiting SCL foe El Molino Tuesday at the high school courts.
Leading the Lady Dragons in singles were senior Emma Stanfield’s 6-3, 6-0 over Joy Risley at No. 1 singles; senior Brenda Maldonado’s 6-3, 6-4 over Maddy Richard at No. 2 singles; junior Sydney Moore’s 6-1, 6-2 over Julia Weggenmann at No. 3 singles; and senior Hannah Adams’ 6-2, 6-0 over Sami Hennen at No. 4 singles.
Sonoma was led to its doubles sweep by seniors Alison Gray and Sonia Krikorian’s 6-3, 6-2 over Lilly Anderson and Jessica Van Rillaer at No. 1 doubles; juniors Isabel Hernandez and Kasey Richards’ 6-1, 6-0 over Erin Baseman and Grace Kan at No. 2 doubles; and seniors Liv Yazzolino and Malaya Zachau’s 6-0, 6-1 over Seryna Bonacorso and Charlotte Richard at No. 3 doubles.
The Lady Dragon netters host SCL foe Healdsburg at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, on the high school courts.

Sonoma’s girl golfers dropped a pair of SCL home matches at the Sonoma Golf Club, falling to El Molino 281-313 on Tuesday, and being upended 262-336 by Healdsburg on Wednesday.
In their loss to El Molino, the Lady Dragons were paced by senior Callie Hogan’s nine-hole round of 58; senior Jacquline Regan’s 60; sophomore Candice Silkey’s 62; freshman Bella Martin’s 66; and sophomore Ali DeClercq’s 67.
Pacing the Sonoma girls against Healdsburg were Hogan’s nine-hole round of 57; DeClercq’s 64; sophomore Hannah Ladouceur’s 70; Martin’s 72; and Regan’s 73.
