With the Sonoma County League dual-meet season in their wake, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity boys and girls track and field teams will compete in the SCL championships taking place starting at 9 a.m., May 16, at Elsie Allen in Santa Rosa.
The Lady Dragons, entering the SCL meet tied for second place with Piner, are led by record-breaking, pole-vaulting junior Isabel Garon; defending 3,200-meter champion junior Maddie Libbey; defending sprint champion sophomore Kiara Miles; and freshman 400 and 1,600 running standout Amy Stanfield.
Sonoma’s boy thinclads are led by defending 400 champion junior Edwin Reyes; senior high-jump standout Ian Sloop; and junior long-distance specialist Travis Claeys.
