Raceway hosts 3J’s Motorcycle Day Tuning up for league tourney

Event benefits Speedway Children's Charities|

Sonoma Raceway will be the setting for the 3J’s Motorcycle Days’ 21st charity event taking place on Wednesday, April 29, which includes a full track day of riding around the famed 12-turn road course, along with a catered lunch, T-shirt, and an evening reception for all riders.

All riding levels are welcome and the cost is $275, with all the proceeds from the event – having raised more than $430,000 for worthy causes since 2003 – benefitting Speedway Children’s Charities, which is the charitable arm of the Valley raceway.

The event will also include a raffle for prizes, including a future 3J’s Motorcycle Day; weekend passes to the FIA World Superbike Championship at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca; a one-night stay at MacArthur Place in Sonoma; restaurant gift certificates; and motorcycle gear. Raffle winners need not be present to win.

On Tuesday, April 28, the CLASS Motorcycle School, suited for experienced track riders or first-time participants, will take place, focusing on teaching people to become better, more confident riders by educating them on the proper control and technique behind motorcycle handling.

The weekend will also feature American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association and the American Federation of Motorcyclists.
