That’s right – the Sonoma Valley High School varsity boys’ basketball team’s nonleague at San Rafael was majorily rained out because of floods and power outages from last Thursday’s torrential storm.

But the Sonoma boys were able to get into Marin county Friday evening and made it worth their while by riding a 19-11 fourth-quarter run to a 46-42 victory behind senior Cyle Caselli’s game-high 20 points.

The Dragons now return home briefly to host Albany Friday evening, Dec. 19, in Pfeiffer Gym – the freshmen start at 6, and the varsity tips off at 7:30 p.m. – before going back on the road for a slough of nonleague games back in Marin.

The Sonoma boys play at Terra Linda on Tuesday, Dec. 23, and then will compete in the annual Marin Catholic Holiday Tournament from Friday, Dec. 26, through Tuesday, Dec. 30.
