Sonoma’s ‘Best Bartender’

Gerard Stephens from Sonoma-Meritage Oyster Bar and Grill earned the title of “Sonoma’s Best Bartender,” knocking out the competition at the 2013 Sonoma Bar Battle last weekend. He also won the Glorious Gloria Sparkling contest by making the best cocktail featuring the winery’s Brut.

Second place in the Bar Battle went to El Dorado Kitchen with Mary’s Pizza Shack coming in third. In the Glorious Gloria Sparkling contest second place went to Town Square while El Dorado Kitchen placed third. Town Square was voted by the patrons as “Best Fan Booth” and “Best Fan Cocktail.”

Proceeds from the night were split between the American Legion and the Native Sons of the Golden West.
